Reminders, Dates, & Events

Please come to our class and volunteer!  I am looking for some volunteers to run the Homework Monopoly game. You will get to give prizes and see lots of happy kids!

Students should be reading every night for homework.

  • Papers usually go home on Fridays.
  • Go to ClassDojo to check your child's behavior.  I will be sending home your log-in information.
  • Fourth grade works, generally, straight through the Investigations book.  If your child misses school, you can check the homework pages to get a good idea about where we were in our lessons.  I am hesitant to assign catch-up work to be completed at home due to the interactive nature of our lessons. I can usually work with your child between 7:30-8:00 until he or she is back on track.
  • Library check-out is now on Wednesdays.
  • Please send your child to school with a healthy snack and cleaned water bottle daily.
  • Please send in your Box Tops!  They raise much needed money for our school.
  • PE is on Monday.  Tennis shoes are required for participation.

When we read, we always write thinking tracks as we go along. We spent the first couple of weeks of school reviewing al the different types of thinking tracks. We reviewed sequencing so we could discuss the more complicated sequencing involved in inferring cause and effect.

We will be working on multiplying to compare two mathematical situations.
